Welcome to McPhee Elementary’s website! It is an honor to serve as principal and to work with such a talented and dedicated staff at McPhee.

At McPhee Elementary, we believe that all students can learn, perform and behave at grade level or above and that it is the responsibility of all adults in a child’s life to help them achieve this goal. We value community and parental involvement in helping to achieve this goal and providing as many supports as possible to meet the needs of your child academically, socially and emotionally. We value your input and are fortunate to have a very supportive Parent Teacher Association that continuously strives to provide more opportunities for families. We welcome any families to the PTA meetings who would like to participate and share ideas!

As a Community Learning Center (CLC) school, McPhee staff and families partner with the community to create ‘Smart Kids, Thriving Families and Strong Neighborhoods.’ We also partner with many organizations in the community, such as the United Way, Berean Church and First Presbyterian, to assist us in providing opportunities for students and families.

As part of our commitment to learning and growing, McPhee Elementary has implemented PBiS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support). Common expectations have been established in popular areas of the building such as the lunchroom, playground and hallway. Staff couples that with positive reinforcement for following the common expectations. Along with that, social skills are explicitly taught and reinforced throughout the week.

We look forward to partnering with you to ensure that all students reach success throughout this school year! By working together we can ensure that all students at McPhee learn, perform and behave at grade level or above.
